SEATTLE — An attorney for Susan Powell’s family says private investigators with cadaver dogs will search a former home of her father-in-law.
Attorney Ann Bremner says a date for the search of a Puyallup home Steve Powell used to own has not been set.
Steve Powell was forced to surrender his house during a court settlement. He was convicted of taking videos of young neighbor girls undressing and using the bathroom.
Bremner won a $2 million judgment on behalf of the girls and says the girls’ family bought the home at auction and are giving Susan Powell’s family access to it.
Josh Powell is believed to have killed his wife, Susan Powell, in Utah in 2009. Her body has never been found.
Josh Powell then moved to Washington state, where he killed himself and the couple’s boys.
During the initial investigation, the Pierce County Sheriff’s office searched the home.
