SEATTLE — After a Seattle police officer was injured in a fight with a suspect, her husband who also is an officer showed up and made physical contact with her attacker.
Other officers separated him from the suspect Tuesday night and reported him to their commanders. The man has been placed on administrative reassignment for an investigation by the Office of Professional Accountability.
The incident began when officers responded to a report of a person passed out outside Seattle Central Community College. The officers found several people drinking whiskey and they assaulted the two officers.
The female officer was treated at a hospital for a head injury and scrapes to her hands and knees. A 23-year-old suspect also was treated at a hospital and jailed for investigation of assault.
