BOTHELL — A suspect was in custody, just hours after Friday’s fatal shooting of a Bothell-area man.
A Seattle man, 22, was arrested just before midnight, said Shari Ireton, spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. He was being held in connection with the death of a 36-year-old man whose shooting was reported about 3 p.m. Friday.
The violence occurred at a home in the area of 10th Place W and 198th Place SE. A car had been reported at the scene just before the shooting. The suspect’s vehicle was impounded into evidence.
“Detectives are still trying to determine what the motive was for the shooting, but several witness statements stated that the interaction between the suspect and victim was possibly drug-related,” Ireton said in a press release Saturday.
