EDMONDS — A man was arrested Sunday evening behind an Edmonds grocery store for raping a woman, police said.
The Seattle man, 46, said he asked the woman if she’d have sex with him for $35, according to a police affidavit filed Monday in Everett District Court.
The man said the woman at first accepted his offer, then changed her mind. The woman said she declined, police said.
The suspect told police that the woman pleaded with him to let her go but he refused.
“Sometimes we have control in our brains but we make mistakes,” the man told police.
He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of second-degree rape.
