WARM SPRINGS, Ore. — The victim in a beating death in central Oregon has been identified as Dennis Michael Jones, 48, of Seattle.
The Jefferson County sheriff’s office said two Warm Springs men are jailed in connection with the death, 31-year-old James Ryan Johnson and 23-year-old Steven Neal Anderson.
Jones’ body was found May 30 in an abandoned railroad tunnel near a popular Deschutes River fishing spot just south of the Warm Springs Indian Reservation.
Sheriff Jim Adkins said the victim knew at least one of the suspects and alcohol appears to have been involved.
