Seattle principal resigns over late teacher evaluations

SEATTLE — Despite impassioned pleas from parents, the Seattle School Board has voted to accept the resignation of an elementary school principal who was told to quit or be fired for not completing teacher evaluations on time.

The Seattle Times reports that Queen Anne Elementary School Principal David Elliott has given the district a written resignation. He was been principal of the school since it opened in 2010.

Elliott has said he was told to leave for not completing his evaluations on time last year. He has hired a lawyer.
