SEATTLE — For the second straight day, the temperature hit a record low in Seattle.
National Weather Service meteorologist Chris Burke said the low of 17 before dawn today at Sea-Tac Airport broke the low of 21 set on this date in 1972. Wednesday’s record low was 18.
Burke said Western Washington temperatures should start warming up over the weekend and might get back to highs in the 40s by Tuesday. He said there’s only a chance of snow during the change.
Forecasters say Eastern Washington also will see a slow warming trend with a chance of snow through the weekend.
Some other temperatures this morning: Pullman 9, Spokane 8, Pasco -1, Wenatchee 3, Vancouver 12, Kelso-Longview 10, Chehalis 10, Olympia 7, Bremerton 14, Bellingham 14.
