EVERETT – A 35-year-old Seattle woman was injured on I-5 when she reportedly rear-ended another car and was ejected through her windshield, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The woman was driving south about 5 p.m. Friday near the Marine View Drive junction when she struck a car that had reportedly rear-ended another vehicle, the state patrol said.
She was treated for injuries at Providence Everett Medical Center Colby Campus.
The state patrol is investigating the accident.
Mountlake Terrace: Man shot outside store
A man believed to be in his 20s was shot Friday night as he reportedly argued with a man outside a grocery store, according to Mountlake Terrace police.
Officers found blood and bullet casings when they were called to a shooting about 10:20 p.m. in the 4300 block of 212th Street SW. Minutes later, Stevens Hospital in Edmonds reported a gunshot victim in its emergency room, police said.
Police detained two people at the hospital, but nobody was arrested, police said.
The man who was shot was stabilized and taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for further treatment, police said.
Witnesses told police the man had been arguing with another man in a black Acura. The man in the Acura reportedly got out of his car, pushed the other man and then shot him, police said.
