TACOMA — An open-government advocate is asking a judge to declare private meetings between Seattle and Tacoma port commissioners illegal.
The News Tribune reports Arthur West of Olympia filed a lawsuit Thursday in King County.
The two port commissions have held eight non-public meetings to discuss strategies to attract more shipping business to Puget Sound. The commissions say the executive sessions are legal because they’re discussing sensitive financial and operating information.
