STANWOOD — The 23-year-old Sedro-Woolley man who died Thursday while clearing storm debris near Stanwood was identified as David L. Crouter.
The Snohomish County medical examiner ruled his death an accident.
Crouter was working for a private contractor in the 7500 block Silvana Terrace Road, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
He was trying to clear part of a tree when a portion of the tree broke away, striking and killing him, she said. Another worker at the scene wasn’t injured.
