INDEX — A Sedro-Woolley woman, 50, was seriously hurt after a crash Thursday morning on U.S. 2 in the Index area.
About 10 a.m., the woman was attempting a U-turn from the highway’s shoulder when her motorcycle was struck by an eastbound Volkswagen Jetta, according to a Washington State Patrol memo.
The woman was thrown from the motorcycle. She was later taken to a Seattle hospital.
The Jetta driver, a Gold Bar man, 74, was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation. Further details weren’t available Thursday night.
