While Charles Bloomfield, grand knight of the Everett Knights of Columbus, looked on, the basketball captains of the cross-town Catholic school rivals shook hands. Looking forward to tomorrow’s game were Bill Meyers of Immaculate Conception and Maurice Olson of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Ruedi’s Record Center at 2411 Broadway claimed to have the most complete record stock in the state. Right now they were having a clearance sale of 78 rpm records, six for a dollar.
25 years ago (1983)
For years considered out of tune with the times and supplanted by television and stereos, the piano was renewing its importance in the parlors of the 1980s. Piano teacher Lori Baker now had more requests for lessons than she could handle.
David Sinkevitch, a 1979 graduate of Everett High School, completed graduation requirements for a baccalaureate degree in mathematics in McMinnville, Ore.
