The Everett City Council received a letter from the Community Development Committee of the Everett Chamber of Commerce requesting that an experienced traffic engineer be hired to survey a project. Commissioner of public safety Arvid Johnson was looking into the matter.
25 years ago (1983)
Receiving the prestigious St. George Award from Trinity Episcopal Church of Everett, a national award recognizing outstanding service to youth through service to the church and its Boy Scout program, were area Scouting leaders Frank Wilcox and Dick Forbes of Everett, and Hugh Benedict of Snohomish.
Busy Bee Restaurant suggested that readers in 1983 resolve to enjoy great food at yesterday’s prices. A breakfast special for $1.99 included three eggs, hash browns and toast and jelly. They also had famous hamburgers and dinner specials. The restaurant was located at 8825 Evergreen Way.
