Sarah Vaughn, who lived at Bethany Home, celebrated her 99th birthday. Others at Bethany whose birthdays were observed were residents B.D. Morton, Carl Larson, Minnie Lande, Margaret Purdy, Clara Bell Locke, Otto Harno, John Strom, Marie Johnson, Marie Rolfsness, Clara Price, Hannah Carlson, Martha Micheels and Hildur Vik, and workers Albertine Folden and Tillie Jacobson.
The Bon Marche was proud to present a personal showing of more than 50 traditional paintings by Signe Hedlund, well-known Northwest artist and resident of Everett.
25 years ago (1982)
In the last few years the Smokey Point RV Park had become less a place to camp on vacation and more a place where people lived all year to escape crushing rent charges or mortgage payments. Pat Preston and her son lived in a 17-foot trailer camper next to the outdoor playground. She paid $140 a month for the space.
