50 years ago (1957)
Halloween was a night for kids and the Eagles and Hi-Y were preparing to entertain them at the Eagles Auditorium. A number of special parties would be held and residents everywhere would greet trick-or-treaters.
Vesperi Horizon group discussed plans for a forthcoming hayride at its recent meeting. Chosen as committee heads were Claudia Medford, entertainment; Sheila Larson, cleanup; Leann Benson, refreshments; and Sharon Dunlap, records.
25 years ago (1982)
Putting his best foot forward Dr. R.E. McCord discussed dropped metatarsals and the fact that modern podiatry was ready to provide relief for its persistent pain. Treatment consisted of reducing pressure on the painful area and redistributing it. The message was sponsored by Everett Foot Clinic.
