Oil paintings and watercolors by John Hunt, Everett High School art instructor, would be featured at a one-man show presented by George Tenney in his Emory Arms Studio, 2222 Rucker Ave. The show would be the first in several years held at Tenney’s studio, but he planned to have about six shows during the year.
The Lake Serene Community was holding its annual fall hotcake breakfast this Sunday in the club hall. The breakfast, which was open to the public, was organized by the Ways and Means Committee consisting of chairman John Havlick, Harold Johnson and Tom Cooper. All proceeds went to the club general fund to be used for activities during the coming year.
25 years ago (1982)
Stan Clark, representing Everett Transit, and Gary Horton of Community Transit, were to take part in a bus “roadeo” driving competition in Bellingham in connection with the State Transportation Conference.
When the “Divas and Diamonds” fundraising luncheon for Seattle Opera was served this Friday, three people from this area would have played key roles. Marian Berge of Snohomish was committee chair. Diane Sherman of Everett was in charge of raffle tickets and Carol Keaton of Edmonds was publicity chair.
