50 years ago (1957)
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Henson announced the marriage of their daughter, Jeanne Estelle, to Harry Bertois Metzger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Metzger, all of Everett, in the home of Superior Court Judge and Mrs. Edward Nollmeyer. The ceremony was performed by Superior Court Judge Thomas Stiger in the presence of the immediate families.
Participating in the Washington Guernsey Cattle club champions’ tour this week were 4-H representative Mary Roetcisoender of Everett and Herman Bosse of Snohomish. They would visit Olympia; Sequim; and Victoria, B.C.
25 years ago (1982)
Raymond and Martha Yorkston were to celebrate their wedding anniversary at a family gathering. The hosts were their children, John and Barbara Cashen of Everett, Donald and Marie Yorkston of Everett, and Richard and Lucile Young of Marysville. They had 13 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
