Preparing for the Jubliee Club’s spring dance this Friday night at the Everett Golf and Country Club were Dr. and Mrs. Tom Critchfield, Mr. and Mrs. William Petersen, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ryers, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Carpenter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Maryatt, and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Nordin.
Lida Drumheller won first prize in a dress contest staged by the Singer Sewing Machine Co. Her entry was a navy blue sheath dress and cape of rayon and acetate from a McCall pattern.
Among the hundreds of March of Dimes walkers last weekend was a group of 14 Asian-American students at Explorer Middle School. Their pledges averaged about $30 each, according to Carol Slove, their English as a Second Language teacher.
McKees, a stationery store at 1104 Front St. in Snohomish, was having a spring cleaning sale. Prices on selected greeting cards, napkins, plates and cups and selected office supplies were half off. Metal desks were as low as $81.50 and filing cabinets were as low as $51.95.
