50 years ago (1956)
Training for a future in the field of retailing was Everett High School senior Bob Beck who was selling a creel to customer Sherman Larson. Bob was enrolled in the high school retail selling program and worked part-time in the sporting goods department of Sears Roebuck and Co., in conjunction with his class training. Twenty-one Everett seniors were enrolled in the program.
25 years ago (1981)
Special dance classes were being taught by Bob and Dixie Brannon. They taught polka, schottische, Varsovienne, Swedish waltz, Boston, two step and the “Cotton Eye Joe.” Those interested could register at the Everett Elks Lodge desk. Class sizes were limited.
