Although National Beauty Week didn’t start until Sunday, Hair Dressers Association No. 16 began calling attention to the observance at a public dance at Paine Field Officers Club this evening. Making plans for the fete were Dorothy Montroy, Velma Johns, Edna Sayre, Winnie Schultz, Eleanor Kuhlman, Kay Fitzgerald, Walter Warner and Lowanda Conrad.
A timber wolf sighting was reported by a motorist east of Cathcart yesterday as it crossed the ice of Evans Lake and headed toward the Snohomish River. It was noted that a big cougar had recently been seen in the same area.

Dennis Graves, John Smevaag, Bruce Timm and Joel Bowlby completed all the requirements to be certified as qualifying members of the 1980 million-dollar round table. They were representatives of Everett General Office, Gerald Hyde, general manager; Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore Ave.
The Everett Chapter of the National Organization for Women was to honor the birthday of Susan B. Anthony, early leader of the women’s movement in the nation, with a party at Panama’s Restaurant at 1712 Hewitt Ave. The chapter would provide hors d’oeuvres and door prizes.
