50 years ago (1955)
Robinson’s Marina, Snohomish County’s largest and most complete marina, was having a fall sale of new Evinrude motors, Byrant boats and accessories. A Bryant Hornet was $417, down from $491. Robinson’s was at 19th Street and Norton Avenue.
It was the grand opening of the Northwest Office Machine Co. It had moved to 1806 Hewitt Ave., next to the Hodges Building in space formerly occupied by Granstrom Sporting Goods.
25 years ago (1980)
D.A. Duryee &Co. announced the appointment of associate broker Keith Young to its commercial department as a business specialist. The office was at 2721 Wetmore Ave.
The annual police ball would be held at the Everett Elks Club at California Street and Rucker Avenue. Tickets were $10. Music was by the Silver Creek Jesters.
