With the Scout-O-Rama due to get under way at the Armory, Boy Scouts and leaders were busy getting booths ready for the three-day exhibit. Among them were Warren James, assistant commissioner for the Puget Sound district; Gary Walker and Frank Stickles of Intercity Scout Troop 9; and Daryl Wilcox of Cub Pack 42 in Everett.
25 years ago (1980)
The future was uncertain for the vacant Monte Cristo Hotel. Legal and financial issues that had prevented redevelopment of the historic landmark for nearly a decade continued despite recent hopes for a settlement.
