50 years ago (1955)
Parents and teachers were treated to a program at Mukilteo’s historic Rosehill School. The entertainment was part of a Founders Day program put on by the school’s PTA. Some of the original teachers were present, including Mary Trafton, Mary Lou Morrow, Peggy Zahler and Mabel Nairn.
Intercity Home Demonstration Club was meeting in Intercity Hall. Frieda McNeley, Ethel Bley and Blanche Dahlman served lunch and gave a demonstration on making stew.
25 years ago (1980)
Red Carpet Duce Realty was expanding to a new 1,700-square-foot building at 2118 Broadway. The company was looking for a resident manager and salesman to staff its sixth office.
The Edmonds High School music department was sponsoring a concert combining the Wind Symphony and guest soloists Rick Asher, Deanna Hise, Heidi McBride, Diana Wilkins, Sandy Wightman, Jon Baugher and Susan Trent.
