50 years ago (1954)

Members of the Everett Catholic Youth Organization’s Christmas Ball committee were Carol Parker, Sheila Morney, Gertie Hansen, Mary Ann Campbell and Karen Bloomfield. Advising the girls were Martha Grandstrom and Eva Biesen.

25 years ago (1979)

Andrew, Nathan and Rebekah Conrad, the children of James and Nancy Conrad of Edmonds, understood the true meaning of Christmas. Knowing that other children needed toys for Christmas, they held a party and charged admission. Guests brought a toy for the Bank of Everett’s annual collection or canned food for Christmas baskets.

Everett Ski Service at 6400 Evergreen Way offered a Friday night ski bus to Stevens Pass. It left at 4:30 p.m. and returned at midnight. The service offered rentals, service, sales and used equipment. Ski tuning clinics were offered on Wednesday nights.

Edmonds votes to place levy lid lift on the ballot
