50 years ago (1954)

A $27,000 two-story addition was under way at Trinity Lutheran Church at 24th Street and Lombard Avenue. It would be ready for the church’s 50th anniversary. The contractor was Newland Construction.

25 years ago (1979)

Experienced aircraft mechanics could earn a Federal Aviation Administration airframe and power plant license in 20 weeks through a new course at Everett Community College. Normally, it took two years. Those interested could contact the aviation office at Paine Field.
