50 years ago (1954)
Three Snohomish County Museum officials showed one of the paintings on display at the public exhibit in the Everett Public Library auditorium. They were Alvin Petterson, youth director; Ethel Flowers, program chairwoman; and Jack Irwin, art director.
The Intercity Home Demonstration Club met at Intercity Hall. Florence Graslie, Lenore Parsons and Inez Lloyd were the hostesses. Frances Oleson of the Snohomish County Extension Service installed officers, and Florence Eberhard gave a demonstration on gift wrapping and tying.
25 years ago (1979)
Diane Sherman of Everett was Snohomish County PUD’s new mall and stationery room supervisor. She was responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining office supplies and supervising in-house printing.
VelDor Bookkeeping and Accounting, a new bookkeeping service, opened at 1921 110th St. SE in the Silver Lake area. The company was owned by Velma Gerard, who had 25 years experience in the field.
