Bruce Matthews joined Sorenson Realty Co. at 1707 Hewitt Ave. He was a native son.
25 years ago (1979)
Longtime Everett Public Library supporter Lucie L. Lincoln Ries died at a local nursing home at age 90. A New Jersey native who lived in Everett for nearly 60 years, Ries served on the library board and was a past president of the Women’s Book Club. Surviving her in Everett was her daughter, Isabelle Salisbury, son-in-law Clark Salisbury, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Stores in the Marks Building at First Street and Avenue B in Snohomish were ready for the holidays. They were Sandy’s, The Balcony, The Village Photographer &Framer, The Top Drawer and Judy’s Stained Glass Shoppe.
