Lowell Book Club was holding a meeting at the home of Katherine Buckley, 5410 Second St. The book "The Spirit of St. Louis" by Charles Lindbergh would be reviewed.
The West Coast Telephone Co.’s $618,000 extended service project for the Hall’s Lake area was under way, and construction of the new Greenwood dial office would be completed by June. In order to keep contact with customers, the company planned commercial offices at Edmonds, Alderwood Manor and Lynnwood.

Dr. Lynn Jones opened a family dentistry practice at 3230 Colby Ave., Suite 1. Jones graduated from the University of Washington in 1978. Office hours were by appointment, including evenings and Saturdays.
