Jasper L. Rucker and Robert I. Studebaker announced their association for the general practices of law with offices at 313 Central Building. The former had practiced law here since 1928, first with Lloyd L. Black, later with Henry M. "Scoop" Jackson, and more recently with Edward M. Nollmeyer. The latter specialized in the field of labor-management relations.
Harold J. Berry was opening his own meat market tomorrow at 1317 Hewitt Ave. Previously the site was home to the Everett Meat Co. Over the years Leonard Johnson, Floyd Johnson, Harry Roberts, Eddie Haskell, Ed Vallis and Charles Sanders had work there.
A job-finding workshop focusing on the special employment needs of women was to be held at Everett Community College. Linda Larson of Job Orientation would lead the class geared to help women identify their abilities, establish realistic job goals and map out a job search plan.
A new $735,000 office building would be built soon on south Broadway. Ray Fletcher, owner of First Realty and builder of the office center, said it would be ready for occupancy in August. The location was about five blocks west of the Everett Mall.
