It was nine hidden holes on Saturday and low net competition Sunday for Everett Municipal golfers with the following winning top honors: Saturday: Bob Brill, 44, and Harry Olson, 44; Sunday: Chuck Horensky, 66, George Pratt, 67, Heinie Klaus, 67 and Cappy Weeks, 67.
Members of the Everett Hi-Y were planning their annual "Hey-Day" Vaudeville show for May 12. Dave Pettet was the general chairman. Mike Linden and Stan Cooper were co-chairmen. Larry Cyr was in charge of entertainment, Chuck Kent was taking care of publicity, and Jim Michel was the auditorium manager. Talent interested could contact Mr. L. Bussell at the high school.
A quintet of excursions was being offered for the spring quarter by the Everett Parks and Recreation Department, all on Mondays. The five, all open to the public, were to Port Gamble, Olympia, Westminster Abbey in Mission, B.C., Cirque Dinner Theater in Seattle and the Seattle waterfront.
Snohomish County Public Transit Benefit Area was offering free rides on its blue buses this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This was a way to introduce the public to the new fleet of 24 Flyer Industries buses, according to marketing director Ed Howell.
