Rose Woderz, daughter of Mrs. Rose Wodarz, 1016 35th St., Everett, had completed her basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas, and reassigned for technical training as an Air Force supply specialist at Amarillo AFB, Texas.
Contracts for construction of a new fire hall at Midway were let by commissioners of Snohomish County Fire Protection District 12. The station would be built on old Highway 99 about five miles north of Marysville. John Jensen of Arlington was awarded the general contract at $28,041.74.
25 years ago (1989)
Cascade Music was presenting Choy Lozada at the Kawai Organ, an evening of organ music to be remembered, at the Everett Pacific Hotel. Free tickets could be picked up at the Cascade stores at 5252 Evergreen Way in Everett and 306 State Ave. in Marysville.
Clara Thelen, 5, carried an umbrella and flag while leading a wet but spirited band of Girl Scouts from Daisy Troop 2263 down First Street in Snohomish during the eighth annual Easter Parade. Others in the troop included Tanya Mitchell, Katie Lacey, Fawn Wilson and Rebekah Fish.
