Vying to be a part of Everett Junior College’s "Cupid’s Couple" were: Jean Ingham, Janice Peck, Arlene Gannon, Mamie Deidrich, Desta Almgren, Lynn Rosenbach, Roy Wiles, Cal Prater, Rich Erickson, Norm Keck and Chuck Dare.
Mrs. Lee Billings sold her home at 5702 Second St. in Lowell to her grand-nephew, Frank Edward Doph. When the Dophs moved in they would be the fifth generation of the family to live in the home. Mrs. Billings’ father built it in 1902. Her daughters, Margaret May Billings and Eloise Billings Mackenstadt, were born in the house, as were Eloise’s two children.
A photo showed the beautiful landmark elm tree in the front yard of Elm House on the northwest corner of Rucker Avenue and 22nd Street.
The Carousel Dance Club was to present "Three Ring Circus," an evening of dancing, all-American circus food and entertainment at the Everett Golf and Country Club. Joyce and Tom Rubatino led the event, which would begin with circus food and suds at 7 p.m. Dinner and dancing would follow. The Everett-based club was made up of married couples from Snohomish and King counties.
