Attracting attention and comment was the Mukilteo Water District’s new combination office, garage, storeroom and motor-testing and repair room. It was on Fifth Street. Fred J. Cleator was water superintendent. Commissioners were Dr. L.G. Beck, L.N. Reichman and Fred W. Lee.
Bill Jury of Snohomish, Rep. Jack Westland’s public relations representative, was leaving from Bow Lake Airport for Washington, D.C., to spend two weeks with the 2nd District Congressman. Jury’s family would remain at their Avenue D home.
"The Spirit of Spring" was the name given to General Hospital’s spring luncheon and fashion show. Sponsored by the hospital’s Children’s Foundation, it would be held at the Everett Golf and Country Club. Fashions from Chaffee’s would be featured. Proceeds were going to purchase special equipment for the neonatal nursery. Tickets were $10.
There was a new look at Marysville’s City Hall with a $100,000 remodel. City officials in new quarters were Phil Dexter, city clerk; Nacelle Green, deputy clerk; Al Matter, compliance officer; Rick Deming, city administrator; and John Faulkner, police chief. Space was made available when the library moved to its new location.
