Raymond Reigers, a former teacher in Everett and in New Zealand, was speaking at the regular meeting of Everett Central Lions Club at the Elks Home. He spoke of New Zealand customs. Oscar Johnson and George Graff were program chairmen for the day.
The Martha Circle of First Methodist Church was holding a rummage sale at the Chris Culmback Building, 3019 Colby Ave. A variety of clothing and household articles, all in good condition, were offered for sale. Mrs. G.V. Lange or Mrs. L.A. Hope were the contacts for people wanting to make donations.
Gordon Hey, vice president of marketing for Olympic Bank in Everett, was named president-elect of the Everett Area Chamber of Commerce. Hey’s nomination came from committee chairman Roger Rice, with approval granted at the March meeting of the board of directors.
Landscape Design School, an opportunity to study and hear from professional landscape people, would be presented by the Evergreen and Chuckanut districts of Washington State Federations of Garden Clubs in cooperation with Everett Community College.
