Janet Van Driel and Ronald Moo, patients at General Hospital, received beautiful trees to make their Christmas a little happier. They were delivered by Mrs. Denman and Mrs. Wallace, members of Group VIII Children’s Foundation. The annual project also included a number of cone trees, complete with miniature decorations, for adults confined to the hospital over the holiday.
Among the many Christmas greetings came those from Mrs. Percy Gaw, owner of Acouticon Hearing Aids of Everett in the Colby Building. She extended the season’s greeting to all friends.
With half of the 1,571 new velour-covered seats already installed, Everett Civic Auditorium apparently would be finished easily by its scheduled reopening date a month away. A group headed by Ken Kraintz was putting together a ceremonial event. Kraintz reported that a lot of people were interested in using the facility.
It was seven for 11 for Everett Fire Fighters Boxing Club members in their opening card of the season. The local winners were Chuck Robinson, W.T. Anderson, Mike Belcher, Joey Belinc, Mike Walker, Buddy Dale and Scott Walker.
