The Evergreen chapter of American Gold Star Mothers installed new officers. They were Ethel French, May Martell, Bertha Overton, Marie Brown, Ina Backstrom, Mable Thomas, Lois Johnson, Clara Movold, Grace Heichel, Jennie Bryan, Ida Bodvig and Margaret Tyler.
Cedar Camp, Royal Neighbors of America was meeting at the Masonic Temple. Plans would be made for the Christmas party. Minnie Ambrose was chairing the refreshment committee.
During clear, cold weather, vapor from vents on Mount Baker’s Sherman Glacier turned to steam visible from Snohomish County. David Frank of the U.S. Geological Service said that the only thing different was the weather, which caused the vapor to become visible. A concern a few years before, government experts were not worried about an eruption.
Cascade Canary Breeders Association was presenting its 10th annual All-Canary Show at the Lynnwood Recreation Center. The show would have particular appeal to those desiring to learn more about care and breeding of domestic birds and other household pets.
