Santa arrived at Hewitt and Colby avenues, climbing down a ladder off the First National Bank Building. Soon after, several elves began handing out candy to spectators.
"Moonlight Mood" was the theme for the annual tolo sponsored by Rainbow Girls. Holding a cutout of the man in the moon were committee chairwoman Pat Tholen and members Annette Gerry, Gloria Nunn, Mildred Pitzer and Gail Warnock. Leonard Hudson and his band provided music at the Masonic Temple.
A master class in jazz dance would be taught by Jo Emery, choreographer for "Follies ‘79" in Everett. Emery choreographed both editions of the follies seen at the Music Hall in Seattle and operated the Tacoma Performing Arts Studio. Returning to the Betty Spooner Creative Arts Foundation studio, she would work with 30 advanced dance students from the Everett area.
Baretta of Everett, a new moped shop, opened at 6323 Evergreen Way. The owners were Jack and Terry Colling.
