For the second time in recent years the Everett chapter of the Washington Quarterbacks was singled out as the outstanding group of its kind in the state. Boody Gilbertson was the newly elected president, Gray Beck was retiring president and Joe Bowen was retiring secretary-treasurer. A plaque was presented at the weekly meeting in the Monte Cristo Hotel.
Oakes Guild of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church was holding a potluck luncheon tomorrow at noon at the home of Ida Cooper, 2916 Leonard Drive.
Dewey Barnett, president of Everett Federal Savings and Loan Association, was elected to the board of directors of the Washington Savings League, a group of 51 savings and loan firms and eight mutual savings banks in Washington.
Cyndi Bjornstad of Century 21 North Homes Realty in Everett was chosen as the top Century 21 salesperson in Western Washington for August. She was honored by 400 members of Century 21 affiliated realty firms at a recent regional awards meeting. The award was the highest honor given by Century 21 for sales efforts and professionalism.
