Joining the sales firm of Claremont Hardware Co. was Ray Chambers. He was associated with Western Supply and later with Barbour’s Appliance. Claremont Hardware was in the B&M Shopping Center on Evergreen Way.
Sally Jean Kiloh enlisted in the U.S. Navy Waves for four years. She was enlisted through the local substation by Chief Machinist’s Mate George W. Look. Kiloh graduated in June from Everett High School, where she was an honor student.
The Board for a Greater Everett had a new fender emblem that proclaimed "I KNOW Where Everett Is." The stickers went on sale to start the board’s six-month-long fundraising drive. One could be purchased for $1 by contacting Mabel Pearson, 2933 Nassau St. The board was a council of 27 ministers, educators, social service workers and neighborhood leaders.
The Everett High School class of 1954 was to hold an organization meeting at the home of Caroline Martin, 11801 Emander Road. Those with information on classmates were asked to call Rosemary Lane or Jeanette Anderson.
