50 years ago (1963)
Dallas Carleton of Lake Stevens was playing the part of an unemployed literature teacher in “Bus Stop,” at the Everett Junior College Campus Center. The Broadway play would be presented again tomorrow and next weekend by students at the college.
Arne Christophersen, recently manager of the appliance, radio, television and stereo departments of Byers of Marysville, announced he had purchased those departments and was continuing business at 312 State Ave. Mr. and Mrs. Walden Byers, from whom Christophersen purchased the business, had moved their plumbing and heating business around the corner to 1512 3rd St.
25 years ago (1988)
Craig Egenes was named senior design director at Walter Dorwin Teague Associates. Egenes, who had been with the company since 1965, would manage the firm’s industrial design department, which handled the Boeing 747 and 767 interior architecture departments.
City Radiator Service Inc., moved to a new location at 21 S.E. Everett Mall Way. The company, which had served the Everett area for the past 50 years, was expanding in size and service adding exhaust systems and brake repairs. Dennis C. Riving was company president.
