The Snohomish Senior Center plans a free seminar on preventing falls from 10 to 11 a.m. today at the center’s temporary home at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1514 Pine Ave., Snohomish. Lunch after the seminar is $4.50.
Falls can compromise the health and independence of older adults. Roughly a third of older adults fall at least once a year and 5 percent to 10 percent of those falls result in hospitalization.
