A Bothell woman accused of encouraging teenagers to have sex and then videotaping them will remain in the Snohomish County Jail for now, a judge said Tuesday.
Michelle Lynn Houser, 33, is expected to plead guilty later this week to multiple sex charges, lawyers said in court Tuesday.
Houser and her boyfriend were charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of child molestation for a July 16 incident at Houser’s south Snohomish County home.
The sex and videotaping happened after three young people were given a lot of alcohol and shown a pornographic movie, deputy prosecutor Janice Albert said.
Houser’s own children, a boy 13 and a girl 15, were involved in the sexual activity, Albert said. Her children don’t normally live with her and had been invited to her house that day, Albert said.
Houser and her boyfriend allegedly took turns taping and encouraging the teens to continue having sex, Albert alleged. At different times, the teens asked the adults to discontinue the taping, she added.
The prosecutor will recommend that Houser serve eight years.
Houser had been free on personal recognizance until September, when a judge set $25,000 bail after she disobeyed a condition of her release.
In court on Tuesday, Houser asked to be released from jail pending a court appearance this week at which she planned to plead guilty. Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Stephen Dwyer refused.
