A Level 3 sex offender may move to Whidbey Island, the Island County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Johnny Alan Goff, 45, is set to be released from prison Tuesday, having served his sentenced for second-degree child molestation, according to the sheriff’s office. Goff molested a 12-year-old daughter of a longtime partner.
He will move to Whidbey Island if he is unable to live with relatives in Nevada, the sheriff’s office said. Goff would be classified as a transient because he has no fixed address.
Goff has a previous conviction for child sexual abuse from Texas.
A public meeting about Goff’s release and status is set for 5 p.m. Monday in the main hearing room at the Courthouse Annex, Sixth and Main streets in Coupeville. Sheriff Mike Hawley will address public concerns and questions.
A Level 3 sex offender is considered the most likely to reoffend.
