BEND, Ore. — The Deschutes County sheriff’s office says a man and a woman have been found dead at a residence in a Terrebonne, Oregon, mobile home park in what appears to be a homicide-suicide.
In a statement Friday, Lt. Tim Leak said deputies went to the central Oregon home on Wednesday afternoon after being asked to perform a welfare check.
He says the investigation shows that 57-year-old John Patrick Ryan was shot once by 52-year-old Elizabeth Diane Dillard. The officer says Dillard died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The sheriff’s office did not discuss the relationship between the two. Both lived at the same address.
Terrebonne is a small community north of Bend.
