PORTLAND, Ore. — The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says a man was lying when he told them he was attacked by two people at his Brush Prairie, Washington, home.
Deputies responded to the home early Tuesday after receiving a report of a stabbing.
The home’s resident, 54-year-old John Ross, told them he was attacked, but later admitted his injuries were self-inflicted.
The sheriff’s office says Ross told investigators he concocted the story to draw attention away from a relative involved in a shooting elsewhere.
