Q I live on the corner of 130th Street SE and 47th Avenue SE in Everett, and we have a four-way stop at that intersection. Drivers are always running the stop signs. My fellow neighbors and I have called the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office many times with no results. What else can we do? We are afraid that one of the many children playing in the area is going to be injured.
— Mark Haywood, Everett
A Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen said officers will make it a priority to watch this intersection and write tickets for everyone going through the stop sign. She said, however, that the department is understaffed, so higher-priority crimes get the first attention.
