BELLINGHAM — Authorities in Bellingham, Washington, say one man in a car was shot and wounded Friday evening in a mall parking lot in what may have been a dispute involving money.
The Bellingham Herald reported that the injured man was able to drive his red Chevy Impala away from the gunfire but apparently lost consciousness and crashed into a parked car on the other side of the Bellis Fair mall.
Bellingham Assistant Fire Chief Bill Hewett says the wounded man was taken to a hospital for treatment.
No shoppers inside the mall were hurt.
The shooter or shooters were in a sports car that left the scene.
