Shooting without victim under investigation south of Everett

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said shell casings were found and several people were detained.

EVERETT — Detectives are investigating a shooting early Tuesday morning south of Everett.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said its major crimes unit had recovered shell casings in a residential neighborhood near Center Road and Marino Avenue. The area is near Fairmount Elementary School.

As of 6:28 a.m., no victim or suspect was identified, but several people were detained. The Sheriff’s Office said the road would be closed for several hours.
