MONROE — A brother and sister were hurt Thursday night when they were hit by a sport utility vehicle while crossing the street.
The children, 9 and 15, were crossing N. Blakeley Street when the driver of a Dodge Durango hit them, Monroe police spokeswoman Debbie Willis said.
The accident occurred about 5:30 p.m. The children were treated and released from the hospital, Willis said.
The investigation continues and the driver of the sport utility vehicle, a Monroe woman, 46, may be cited.
