SEATTLE — A sixth person has died from the Anacortes refinery fire.
Tesoro spokesman Lynn Westfall in San Antonio said that Lew Janz died at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The nursing supervisor said a seventh victim Matt Gumbel, remains in serious condition at the hospital where he has been undergoing skin grafts for burns.
An explosive fire engulfed the seven workers April 2 at the refinery.
The company said Monday it will shut down the refinery this month until investigations are complete and repairs are made.
